Series 6 Cutting Options
Series 6 cutting options Previous Next
The KM Series 6 tables offer a choice of cutting heads, each with different tool combinations. It is these tool combinations which tune each table to a particular application.
    Cutting Head Options

  • A Head - All Purpose - The most flexible option, combining Oscillating knife for cutting corrugated boards, with tangential drag knife for cutting solid boards. With this option the tables can cut the widest range of substrates without tool changes. Also capable of combining cutting and scoring. Mounted alongside the knives is a creasing station with interchangeable creasing tools, and a multi purpose station which can carry a pen for plotting direct onto media, or a free spinning drag knife for cutting intricate detail from lighter materials.
  • H Head – Corrugated - The H head offers two tangentially controlled tools. One is dedicated to the electric oscillating knife, and the other can accept either a creasing tool with its range of creasing devices or a tangentially controlled drag knife. The “H” configuration provides the lowest cost solution to cutting and creasing corrugated board. This head also has the multi purpose station fitted.
  • L Head – Carton / Thin Plastics - Typically this head would be used in applications centred on lighter boards. The L head is a smaller head with two tangentially controlled tools. These would conventionally be a drag knife and a creasing tool although two knives can work in combination. The multi purpose station is also fitted with this head.

  • Tooling

  • Multi Functional Tool -This station holds a pen, for die traces, drawing directly onto the die board and other media. Or holds a free spinning blade for intricate work like kiss cutting.
  • Tangentially Controlled Tools - Various creasing wheels come with the table to suit all applications, from corrugated to folding carton board. A drag knife can be loaded to offer different cutting options from scores to full cut depths on rigid materials.
  • Electric Oscillating Knife – This vibrating knife uses tungsten carbide blades, cutting smoothly without liner tear. A variety of blades are available to compliment different substrates.
