All KM Precision Routers are built on a robust steel frame and use high quality precision screw drives with preloaded ballnut and fully enclosed ball recirculation system on X, Y and Z axes. These are fully enclosed to provide maximum protection from dust and swarf contamination and to keep maintenance to a minimum. The ballscrews are driven by 3 phase stepper motors, specially selected to provide smooth motion and high torque response.
A full range of productivity features are available either as part of the standard package or as optional extras. These include automatic tool calibration, vacuum bed and swarf extraction for a clean working environment.
Head and Spindle

Routing Spindle - Spindle speed ranges from 3,000 to 40,000 rpm. The spindle is Inverter driven for constant torque whilst cutting.

Swarf Removal - Cyclonic swarf cone with a selection of different length quick-fit brushes allows clean operation at all times. A special quick release mounting saves time when changing cutters.

Tool Change - Fully automatic tool change system for up to 6 different tools.
